Munitions Accountability Section Chief

About the role

The Munitions Accountability Section Chief leads all munitions accountability and inventory actions, ensuring compliance with USAF regulations and quality standards. This senior position supervises the use of the Theater Integrated Combat Munitions System (TICMS) and coordinates with senior munitions staff.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, supervise and perform all munitions accountability and inventory actions in accordance with AFMAN 21-200, DAFMAN 21-201 and related technical data.
• Operate and oversee TICMS, report discrepancies, and ensure daily system connectivity.
• Enforce USAF and host‑nation explosives safety, AFOSH and security standards across all sites.
• Conduct warehouse inventories, reconcile ADR files with TICMS, and brief MASO on findings.
• Develop and monitor inspection schedules, shelf‑life dispositions, and component readiness for munitions TCTOs.
• Coordinate munitions shipments, perform entry‑controller duties, and support mission requirements during peacetime and combat contingencies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least eight years of military munitions experience.
• Minimum five years in munitions operations and one year in custody/account document control.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret clearance (US citizenship required).
• Physically capable of lifting/pushing/pulling at least 50 lb and willing to work outdoors for extended periods.

Required skills

• Intermediate knowledge of USAF Supply and Tech Order systems or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Windows operating system and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Experience operating material handling equipment.
• Use of TICMS for munitions accountability and reporting.
