MYP Coordinator – International School

About the role

The MYP Coordinator will lead the planning, implementation and continuous improvement of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme at Etqan Global Academy in Doha. Reporting to senior school leadership, the role ensures programme integrity, supports teacher development and drives high standards of student learning.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, implementation and review of the MYP in line with IB standards.
• Manage IB authorisation, evaluation and self‑study processes, acting as the primary liaison with the IB organisation.
• Support, coach and develop MYP teachers in curriculum delivery, unit design and assessment.
• Oversee the Personal Project, service‑as‑action and ATL skill development across the programme.
• Coordinate moderation and standardisation of MYP assessments across all subject groups.
• Lead eAssessment preparation and external moderation submissions.
• Organise MYP‑focused CPD and ensure engagement with Nord Anglia University.
• Communicate MYP expectations, progress and outcomes to parents and the school community.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification with classroom experience in an IB MYP school.
• IB MYP workshop training at Category 1 or 2 level.
• In‑depth knowledge of the MYP curriculum, assessment criteria, eAssessment and the Personal Project.
• Understanding of IB programme standards, practices and authorisation requirements.
• Excellent organisational, communication and coaching abilities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
• International school experience, preferably in the Middle East (desirable).
