MYP Mathematics Teacher – Doha

About the role

Nord Anglia Education is seeking an enthusiastic MYP Mathematics Teacher to join Etqan Global Academy in Doha. You will inspire students to think mathematically, connect concepts to real‑world contexts and thrive within the IB Middle Years Programme framework.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality, concept‑driven Mathematics lessons aligned with the IB MYP curriculum and global contexts.
• Design inquiry‑based, differentiated learning experiences that engage all learners.
• Assess student work using MYP Mathematics criteria and provide constructive feedback.
• Develop units of inquiry that integrate Mathematics with real‑world applications and other subject groups.
• Embed ATL skills development and interdisciplinary connections throughout teaching.
• Support students’ preparation for MYP eAssessment and use data to drive interventions.
• Fulfil Form Tutor duties and contribute to the pastoral life of the school.
• Participate positively in the Mathematics department and the wider school community.

Required profile

• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, B.Ed or equivalent) and a degree in Mathematics or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching Mathematics in an IB MYP school.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the IB MYP Mathematics curriculum, assessment criteria and eAssessment.
• Ability to plan and deliver concept‑driven, inquiry‑based, differentiated lessons.
• Data‑driven approach to tracking student progress and driving improvement.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
