Nail Technician

About the role

This role is responsible for performing nail treatments and services to the highest standards, building a loyal client base, achieving both service and retail targets and supporting the salon management and team in the day-to-day running of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver nail services to a high technical standard and provide thorough consultations to understand clients' needs and expectations.
• Follow the standard operating procedures and brand standards, keeping to treatment timings while giving clients the best possible result.
• Proactively up-sell additional services and products, including promotions and special events.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment and the salon, and set up stations according to brand guidelines with adequate stock.
• Keep personal grooming and punctuality to brand standards, and attend company and team meetings and product training as required.
• During downtime, help with tasks such as cloakroom assistance, reception, laundry or advising clients on the shop floor.

Required profile

• High school or diploma, with a professionally recognised qualification equivalent to at least NVQ Level 2.
• At least 3-5 years' experience in a professional salon environment.
• Experience in manicure, pedicure, gel and acrylic services.
• Fluency in English and excellent communication skills.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods, and flexibility to work weekends, evenings and national public holidays.
