Network Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Network Engineer to support expansion projects at Qatargas in Doha. The role involves implementing and operating network infrastructure for project offices, providing technical expertise and ensuring reliable remote connectivity.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams and contractors to roll‑out infrastructure for project offices and remote connectivity.
• Create and maintain network documentation, ensuring deployments meet project requirements and Qatargas policies.
• Work non‑traditional hours when required to resolve network issues for business users.
• Execute operational procedures for hardware and software configuration, maintenance, backups and restorations (ITOP 301).
• Use infrastructure management tools to collect, monitor and report load and performance data (ITOP 302).
• Diagnose and resolve low‑impact operational problems following incident management procedures (ITOP 304).
• Install and de‑install hardware and software according to supplied instructions (HSIN 301).
• Assist in producing simple network architectures, topologies, configuration databases and design documentation (NTDS 302).
• Apply standard user/system interfaces, security controls, audit and recovery procedures (NTDS 303).
• Investigate service problems, analyse change requests and plan/test proposed solutions (SYSP 302).

Required profile

• Experience working on infrastructure projects in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to work independently, plan own workload and resolve day‑to‑day issues.
• Willingness to work outside regular hours to support critical business operations.
• Strong documentation skills and attention to compliance with internal policies.
