Night Manager

About the role

The Night Manager leads all hotel sections during the night shift, ensuring security, service standards, and smooth operations in line with Kempinski policies and standards. This role is pivotal for guest satisfaction and revenue protection during overnight hours.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee front‑office activities such as check‑ins, check‑outs, and guest assistance while adhering to all policies and standards.
• Train, develop and manage front‑office staff to maintain efficient night‑time operations.
• Control room inventory, manage group blocks, promote packages, and up‑sell to maximize RevPAR.
• Handle guest complaints promptly, document them, and ensure resolution.
• Welcome VIP guests, escort them to rooms, and provide personalized assistance throughout their stay.
• Manage over‑booking situations diplomatically to minimise guest dissatisfaction.
• Patrol the property twice per shift to ensure cleanliness, safety, and order, taking corrective action when needed.
• Stay updated on emergency procedures, promotions, VIP arrivals, and events, briefing the team accordingly.
• Record incidents and complaints in the hotel logbook for next‑day follow‑up.

Required profile

• Proven experience in front‑office or night‑shift hotel management.
• Strong leadership and team‑development abilities.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently during night hours and make swift decisions.

Required skills

• Knowledge of hotel property management systems (PMS) and revenue management tools.
• Understanding of security and safety protocols in a hospitality environment.
