Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Inspector – Level II (Doha)

About the role

We are seeking a Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Inspector – Level II to join our Technical Workshops team in Doha. The successful candidate will lead a shift of NDT engineers, ensuring all inspections on aircraft and components are performed to the latest approved maintenance data and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Exercise authorization privileges for scheduled and unscheduled NDT inspections, guaranteeing compliance with the latest manuals and revisions.
• Manage a shift of NDT engineers according to the production plan, optimizing resource utilization and meeting delivery targets.
• Conduct toolbox talks and coordinate training to keep the team up‑to‑date with EN 4179 and emerging NDT technologies.
• Control NDT tooling and equipment, following company procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Assist the NDT Supervisor in reviewing and updating NDT procedures in line with EN 4179 publications.
• Develop business cases, obtain financial approval, and procure new equipment to establish additional NDT capabilities.
• Maintain validity of at least five NDT method qualifications and ensure timely renewal of authorisations.
• Plan NDT tasks when required to achieve target release dates and on‑time delivery, collaborating closely with the WPCC department.
• Lead capability studies and research for new NDT methods, reporting progress to the Department Manager.

Required profile

• Proven experience in aircraft or aerospace NDT inspection at Level II or equivalent.
• Familiarity with EN 4179 standards and ability to interpret technical manuals.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team of engineers in a shift‑based environment.
• Strong organisational skills for planning and capability development projects.
