Offshore Painter - Coating Specialist

About the role

Madre Integrated Engineering is hiring a full-time offshore painter in Doha within the oil and gas sector. The painter prepares surfaces, applies protective coatings and keeps equipment free from corrosion while following offshore HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Clean, blast and prime surfaces before applying coatings.
• Apply protective coatings by brush, roller or spray according to project specifications.
• Check coating thickness, curing and finish against ASTM and project standards.
• Carry out touch-ups and maintenance painting to prevent corrosion and extend equipment life.
• Follow offshore HSE standards, PPE requirements and permit-to-work systems.
• Record paint usage, inspection results and maintain coating logs.

Required profile

• Minimum 3-5 years of offshore painting and coating experience.
• Strong knowledge of surface preparation, coating systems and offshore corrosion control.
• Ability to read and follow coating specifications and QA/QC procedures.
• Familiarity with ASTM and NOC coating standards.

Required certifications

• Coating Applicator qualification procedure (WHPR1-MDM4-ASYYY-23-302171-0001).
• ASTM D4228 Painter qualification standard.
• BOSIET / HUET (OPITO certified).
• Basic H2S training.
• EPCIC project HSES induction.
