OFR Intern – Customs Service Support

About the role

This internship supports the Customs Service team with basic administrative and documentation tasks related to import, export, and clearance activities at DHL Global Forwarding in Doha.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in reviewing shipment documents for completeness, such as invoices, packing lists, certificates, permits, and other clearance-related records.
• Perform data entry, document filing, system updates, and maintain accurate shipment records under supervision.
• Coordinate with customs service colleagues to follow up on pending documents, approvals, and routine clearance requirements.
• Support preparation of simple reports, trackers, and status updates for internal use.
• Learn and follow standard customs clearance procedures, compliance requirements, and company guidelines.
• Escalate missing information, discrepancies, or unclear documentation to the assigned supervisor or team member.

Required profile

• Student or recent graduate pursuing a diploma, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in logistics, supply chain, business administration, international trade, customs studies, or a related field.
• No prior professional experience required; previous internship, administrative exposure, or basic logistics/customs knowledge is an advantage.
