Operational Auditor

About the role

ABYAT, a large retail store in the Middle East offering home improvement products, is looking for a full-time Operational Auditor in Qatar. The auditor evaluates the effectiveness, efficiency and compliance of operational processes across retail showrooms, warehouses, logistics, delivery, installation, fleet and support facilities, and recommends improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out operational audits and on-site inspections according to approved audit plans, policies, procedures and internal control standards.
• Evaluate showroom operations, including product displays, pricing accuracy, visual merchandising, stock availability, cleanliness and customer service.
• Assess warehouse and logistics operations, including stock storage, inventory controls, product handling, equipment maintenance and asset protection.
• Review delivery, installation and fleet operations for compliance with operational standards and service quality.
• Visit customers' sites to check delivery and installation workmanship and overall customer experience.
• Inspect company facilities and support services for readiness, safety, cleanliness and compliance.
• Identify operational risks, control weaknesses, process gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare audit reports, share findings and recommendations with management and monitor corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or a related field.
• 2-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in operational auditing, retail operations or a related industry.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently to operational sites and conduct field inspections.
• Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management, audit methodologies and regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of retail showroom operations, warehousing, logistics, supply chain, delivery, installation and fleet management.
• Analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, reporting and interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently.
