Packaging Operator

About the role

The Packaging Operator is responsible for ensuring that products are packaged efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. This role works on a production line, operating and maintaining packaging machinery while supporting overall manufacturing output.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and operate packaging machines according to company procedures.
• Inspect finished goods for correct seals, labels, and packaging integrity.
• Perform routine cleaning, troubleshooting, and minor repairs to minimise downtime.
• Complete production logs and reports documenting output and any issues.
• Follow all safety protocols, keeping the work area clean and organized.
• Handle inventory of packaging materials and move completed products to storage areas.

Required profile

• Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks with precision.
• Willingness to stand for long periods and lift moderate loads.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure labeling and sealing accuracy.
• Effective communication skills for teamwork and reporting.

Required skills

• Basic machine operation and troubleshooting.
