Packaging Operator

About the role
The Packaging Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining packaging machinery to ensure products are packaged efficiently, safely, and to quality standards. This role works on the production floor, handling material flow and documenting output.
Key responsibilities
- Set up, calibrate, and run packaging equipment according to standard operating procedures.
- Inspect finished goods for correct seals, labels, and packaging integrity.
- Perform routine cleaning, troubleshooting, and minor repairs to minimise downtime.
- Record production data, logs, and any issues encountered during shifts.
- Follow all safety protocols, maintain a tidy work area, and handle packaging materials inventory.
Required profile
- Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks with good hand‑eye coordination.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and move products as needed.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure labeling and packaging accuracy.
- Effective communication skills for teamwork and reporting.
Required skills
- Basic technical aptitude for learning and operating automated packaging machinery.
