Part‑time PhD Peer Reviewer – Political Science

About the role

We are seeking experienced political‑science scholars to join our editorial team as part‑time peer reviewers. This long‑term, remote position allows you to contribute to the quality of academic publishing while maintaining flexibility in your schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty and originality of submitted manuscripts.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility.
• Check literature reviews for relevance and completeness.
• Analyse results and conclusions for clarity and scientific soundness.
• Provide constructive, written feedback to authors.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent in political science or a closely related field.
• At least five peer‑review‑ready publications in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and written communication abilities.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
• Commitment to confidentiality, objectivity, and ethical standards.
• Prior experience as a journal peer reviewer is highly desirable.
