Part‑time Remote Peer Reviewer – Anesthesiology (PhD)

About the role

This is a long‑term, stable part‑time opportunity to provide expert peer review for manuscripts in the field of anesthesiology. The role is fully remote and suited for researchers with a strong publication record who wish to contribute to scientific quality assurance.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty of submitted manuscripts and determine their contribution to the field.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility of the research.
• Verify that literature reviews are comprehensive and up‑to‑date.
• Analyse results and conclusions to ensure they are clearly presented and supported by data.
• Provide constructive, concise feedback highlighting strengths, weaknesses, and any ethical concerns.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor based on the evaluation.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in anesthesiology or a closely related discipline.
• At least five peer‑reviewed papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• Deep understanding of research methodologies and ethical standards.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and written communication abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
• Commitment to confidentiality and objectivity.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems (e.g., ScholarOne, Editorial Manager).
