People & Culture Welfare Officer

About the role

The People & Culture Welfare Officer will enhance employee experience at Banana Island Resort Doha by planning and coordinating welfare initiatives, engagement activities, accommodation programs, and well‑being projects. The role also supports internal communications, surveys, event coordination and reporting to foster a positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and coordinate employee engagement and welfare activities.
• Support the implementation of employee well‑being programs and initiatives.
• Coordinate employee events, celebrations, recognition programs and community activities.
• Conduct accommodation inspections and satisfaction surveys, monitoring welfare concerns and following up as needed.
• Design posters, announcements, newsletters and promotional materials using Canva, ensuring brand compliance.
• Maintain welfare records, prepare reports, trackers and dashboards using Microsoft Excel.
• Coordinate logistics for engagement activities and liaise with internal departments and external suppliers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing or a related field.
• Previous experience in HR, employee welfare, engagement or hospitality is preferred.
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, maintain confidentiality and work professionally.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (data management, reporting, charts, formulas, trackers).
• Proficient in Canva for creating professional communication materials and event collateral.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
