Pharmacist

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pharmacist to join our healthcare team in Al Khor, Qatar. In this pivotal role you will be at the forefront of patient care, ensuring safe and effective dispensing of medications while providing exceptional support to the community.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately dispense prescription medications and over‑the‑counter products, adhering to established protocols.
• Provide comprehensive medication counseling, including dosage instructions, side effects, drug interactions and proper usage.
• Perform medication therapy management and clinical assessments to optimise patient outcomes.
• Maintain organised, up‑to‑date patient records and prescription information while ensuring confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other healthcare providers to resolve medication discrepancies and support clinical decision‑making.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, place orders strategically and conduct regular quality‑control checks.
• Compound medications when necessary, following established procedures and quality standards.
• Ensure full compliance with Qatar’s pharmacy laws, regulations and professional standards.
• Supervise, mentor and train pharmacy technicians and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence.
• Stay current with pharmaceutical advancements, clinical research and industry trends through continuing education.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• Valid pharmacist licence to practice in Qatar (or eligibility to obtain licensure).
• Strong proficiency in medication dispensing, compounding and pharmaceutical calculations.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working in a pharmacy setting.
