PhD Peer Reviewer – Aerospace Engineering

About the role

This part‑time, long‑term position allows experienced researchers to contribute to the quality of scholarly publications in aerospace engineering. Work remotely and provide expert feedback on manuscripts submitted to academic journals.

Key responsibilities

• Assess the novelty of submitted manuscripts and determine their contribution to the field.
• Evaluate study design, methodology, and reproducibility of the research.
• Verify that literature reviews are comprehensive and up‑to‑date.
• Analyse results and conclusions to ensure they are supported by the data.
• Provide clear, constructive written feedback and highlight any ethical concerns.
• Recommend acceptance, revision, or rejection to the journal editor.

Required profile

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant discipline.
• At least five peer‑reviewed papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the last three years.
• Strong understanding of research methodologies and ethical standards.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and stay objective.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer is highly desirable.
