Pipeline Integrity Specialist

About the role

The Pipeline Integrity Specialist will provide expert input on subsea and pipeline systems, supporting the vision, strategy and implementation of the Subsea & Pipeline Integrity Management Programs (PIMS) and Emergency Pipeline Repair System (EPRS) for QatarEnergy LNG assets throughout their lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering studies, digitalisation and emergency repair system design for existing and new pipelines.
• Develop and execute pipeline integrity management plans, risk assessments, and recommendations to extend pipeline life.
• Prepare scopes of work and oversee subsea inspections (ILI, ROV, CP, acoustic surveys) and ensure accurate data analysis.
• Provide technical and commercial advice for contractor selection, budgeting and project execution.
• Support major projects by integrating integrity considerations into new pipeline designs and emergency repair solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, material, metallurgy, structural, civil or pipeline engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in oil & gas pipelines operations, integrity inspection, corrosion control or design/construction.
• Proven experience with risk‑based integrity management and process safety concepts.

Required skills

• Pipeline Integrity Management Systems (PIMS) and risk‑based inspection (RBI).
• Corrosion management, damage mechanisms, NDT techniques and root cause failure analysis (RCFA).
• Knowledge of ASME, API, NACE and DNV standards.
• Use of subsea integrity tools and inspection data software (GIS, PVI).
• Experience with ILI, ROV, CP and acoustic survey methodologies.
