Piping Designer (Offshore Project)

About the role

The Piping Designer will develop and deliver piping layouts, routing, and 3D models for offshore oil & gas projects, ensuring all designs meet project specifications and engineering standards. The role requires strong use of SmartPlant 3D, AutoCAD, and SmartSketch to produce accurate, constructible designs for offshore fixed facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver piping layouts, routing, and 3D models for offshore oil & gas projects.
• Ensure designs comply with project specifications, engineering standards, and client requirements.
• Utilize SmartPlant 3D (S3D), AutoCAD, and SmartSketch to produce accurate, constructible piping designs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate piping designs with other systems.
• Prepare design documentation and detailed drawings for construction and fabrication.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of experience in piping layout and design within oil & gas EPC projects.
• Hands‑on expertise with SmartPlant 3D (S3D) and proficiency in AutoCAD and SmartSketch.
• Mandatory experience on offshore fixed facilities; experience with QatarGas projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of offshore fixed‑facility standards and ability to work in the Qatar environment.
