Piping Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Piping Engineer to join our team in Doha, focusing on the design, analysis, and technical support of fiberglass composite piping systems for oil & gas and industrial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review piping layouts, routing, and isometric drawings in line with project specifications and international standards.
• Perform piping stress analysis and flexibility calculations using CAESAR II or equivalent software.
• Prepare and review engineering deliverables such as line lists, material take‑offs, support schedules, and specifications.
• Provide technical guidance on GRP, GRV, and GRE pipe system selection and design.
• Ensure designs comply with ASME B31.3, ISO 14692, API, ASTM codes and client requirements.
• Review vendor documentation, respond to technical queries and support project execution from design through commissioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of piping engineering experience in oil & gas, petrochemical or industrial manufacturing.
• Hands‑on experience with piping stress analysis and support design.
• Familiarity with fiberglass composite piping systems (GRP/GRV/GRE) is a strong advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D piping design software such as PDMS/E3D.
• Experience with CAESAR II or equivalent stress analysis tools.
• Working knowledge of ASME B31.3, ISO 14692, API and ASTM piping standards.
