Planning Engineer

About the role

The Planning Engineer will develop initiation programmes for all development stages, create and maintain a comprehensive project progress control system, and ensure effective communication of plans to stakeholders and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop initiation programmes and detailed plans for each development phase.
• Establish and maintain an overall project progress control system across all phases.
• Present project plans to stakeholders and ensure supplier programmes align with detailed plans.
• Monitor supplier progress, draw up recovery action plans for slippage, and manage supplier claims.
• Define project control procedures, work breakdown structures, and cost/schedule baselines.
• Review overall project status with the Project Control Team and recommend corrective actions.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of experience in construction project planning, including at least 7 years in planning and programming.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; UPDA certification preferred.
• Proven track record of delivering high‑quality phased projects using Primavera software.
• Chartered Engineer or PE status is advantageous but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Primavera P6 for scheduling.
• Primavera Contract Management and Primavera Enterprises.
• UPDA certification.
• PSP certification.
