Planning Engineer – Project Controls

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Planning Engineer to support cost, schedule, performance and financial control activities on infrastructure projects. The role works closely with project teams to monitor budgets, commitments, expenditures, progress and forecasts, ensuring accurate reporting and variance analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Support project financial systems, processes and reporting requirements.
• Develop and maintain the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and project baselines.
• Monitor project costs and schedules, performing variance analysis and earned value management.
• Collect, validate and analyze project data for trending, forecasting and performance reporting.
• Track purchase orders, subcontract costs, commitments and expenditures.
• Prepare regular cost, schedule and performance reports for management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, construction management or related field.
• 7‑10 years of experience in project controls, cost control or project planning.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with scheduling and cost‑control software.
