Plumber Technician – Maintenance & Installation

About the role

The Plumber Technician will maintain and repair building systems, grounds, and related facilities. The role involves installing, repairing, rebuilding, and keeping a wide variety of plumbing and mechanical equipment in efficient operating condition for domestic, commercial, industrial, and agricultural use.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures for heating, water, and drainage systems in accordance with specifications and plumbing codes.
• Study building plans and drawings to determine required materials, sequence of installations, and locate pipe routes.
• Cut openings in walls and floors, thread and bend pipes, and install valves and pipe‑fittings made of metal, glass, clay, or plastic.
• Join pipes using screws, bolts, solder, solvent, or caulks, then pressure‑test systems for leaks.
• Install and repair plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, bathtubs, water heaters, garbage disposals, dishwashers, and water softeners.
• Perform backflow inspection, testing, and maintenance of backflow prevention devices.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; Master or Journeyman plumbing license or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of plumbing experience, especially with backflow devices.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to obtain a residency visa for Qatar.
• Ability to meet USCENTCOM deployment requirements, work in extreme dust and heat, and travel 100% to deployed locations.
