Principal Document & Information Management Lead

About the role

Lead the management of information and document control, and the delivery of digital systems throughout the project lifecycle. Provide leadership and direction to information management, document control, data management and engineering systems administration for oil and gas projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enforce information management (IM) strategy, standards and procedures, ensuring compliance.
• Establish functional requirements for IM systems and work with IT and vendors to implement them.
• Lead implementation of Document Management Systems, workshare strategies and digital tools.
• Coordinate with project management to align day‑to‑day decisions with customer expectations.
• Identify and monitor execution risks for IM, DM and digital systems.

Required profile

• Degree qualified or equivalent with significant senior management experience in a complex international organisation.
• Proven ability to lead multinational teams and embed a strong safety culture.
• Deep knowledge of oil and gas markets and experience with digital transformation initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross‑cultural communication skills.
