Procurement & Contracts Manager – Capital Projects

About the role

A leading organization is seeking an experienced Procurement & Contracts Manager to lead procurement and contracting activities across major capital projects. This strategic leadership position offers the chance to shape sourcing strategies, manage tendering processes, and provide commercial support throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead procurement and contracting activities for capital projects from planning through contract award and execution.
• Develop and implement sourcing and contracting strategies aligned with project objectives.
• Manage end‑to‑end tendering processes, including bid preparation, evaluation, negotiation and contract finalisation.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, governance frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Provide commercial and contractual guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
• Identify, assess and mitigate procurement, commercial and contractual risks.
• Manage contractor and supplier performance to meet contractual obligations and project deliverables.
• Lead and develop the Capital Projects Contracts & Procurement team.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement effectiveness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, contracts or commercial management within capital projects, infrastructure or construction.
• Proven experience managing major tenders, supplier negotiations and contract awards.
• Strong understanding of procurement governance, commercial management and contract administration.
• Demonstrated ability to manage supplier and contractor relationships effectively.
• Professional certifications such as CIPS, MCIPS, PMP or equivalent are advantageous.
