Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Procurement Specialist oversees all contractor procurement activities for an EPC project, ensuring that purchases and materials meet contract requirements, are cost‑effective, and comply with company policies. The role supports the EPC contractor in prioritising fabrication, coordinating supplier requests, and aligning procurement schedules with the overall construction timeline.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and maintain alignment with the Project Management Team on procurement needs, objectives, and requirements.
• Manage the identification and procurement of long‑lead items, including preparation of ITT packages, tender coordination, bid evaluation, and agreement administration.
• Develop and execute comprehensive procurement plans, including spare parts and bulk material purchases, and monitor schedule and cost performance.
• Review and approve the contractor’s procurement procedures, ensuring compliance with company standards and ethical guidelines.
• Oversee the contractor’s material management system, coordinate spare‑parts acquisition, and monitor expediting to report any delivery slippage.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a business‑related function, with at least 4 years in the oil & gas industry.
• Demonstrated understanding of procurement best practices and the oil‑gas vendor market.
• Proven ability to manage complex procurement cycles from RFQ to site delivery.
