Project Engineer - Offshore Fabrication

About the role

O&IE is hiring a Project Engineer for offshore fabrication projects (Brown & Green field), industrial engineering and new building projects. The role covers identification, planning, design and execution of engineering specifications for structural, electrical, piping and commissioning systems across the project lifecycle. It is a 1-year assignment, extendable, and open only to local applicants.

Key responsibilities

• Handle end-to-end interface coordination for offshore fabrication, industrial engineering and new building projects.
• Ensure work follows client specifications, safety and quality requirements, yard procedures and work instructions.
• Monitor project progress to meet delivery targets while keeping HSE standards high and costs controlled.
• Coordinate with trades such as piping, structural and electrical and with the project manager to meet client and class requirements.
• Prepare specifications for technical procurement and sourcing.
• Maintain and update the client-supplied engineering drawing register, including sample drawings and schedules.
• Prepare method statements and procedures, submit yard engineering reports and progress details, and arrange project meetings.
• Follow up on client deliverables and materials, and assist the project manager in submitting project and contract deliverables and documentation.
• Keep project close-out reports with evaluation, results assessment and lessons learned.
• Comply with safety, quality and environmental policies and promote a safe, healthy workplace.

Required profile

• BE or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience in offshore and new build fabrication (jackets, topsides, boat landing, brownfield).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
• Strong HSE commitment and commercial awareness.
• Able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment; experience with multinational, multicultural teams preferred.
