Project Engineer – Telecom

About the role

As a Project Engineer – Telecom you will lead the delivery of telecom system installations across Qatar, managing client relationships, budgets, technical designs and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and drive successful project handover.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for clients and contractors, leading meetings, resolving issues and handling change requests.
• Review project scope with sales, align with client specifications, HSE standards and international codes, and develop execution plans.
• Create detailed project schedules, allocate resources, manage budgets and track costs.
• Lead engineering and site teams, assign tasks, monitor progress and foster collaboration.
• Review and approve technical designs, ensure proper integration of low‑voltage and telecom systems.
• Provide regular client updates, manage expectations and ensure satisfaction.
• Identify project risks, assess impact and implement mitigation strategies.
• Oversee quality assurance, inspections, testing, commissioning and final handover.
• Manage procurement, vendor selection and compliance with specifications.
• Ensure regulatory and safety compliance, coordinate permits and inspections.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in low‑voltage, security and telecom system projects.
• Experience with EPC/FEED and Oil & Gas projects is advantageous.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage large budgets.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
