Project Manager – Design & Design Coordination

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary design and design‑coordination activities for building and infrastructure projects in Qatar. You will oversee the design process from concept through construction, ensuring seamless collaboration among all project stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage design delivery across civil, architectural, structural, MEP, landscape, utilities, and road disciplines.
• Develop and maintain execution plans, design schedules, deliverable registers, and project milestones.
• Facilitate design coordination meetings, technical workshops, and design reviews with internal teams, clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Identify and resolve design conflicts, monitor progress, and mitigate risks.
• Review design submissions for compliance with codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Support construction by reviewing contractor technical submissions, shop drawings, RFIs, and design changes.
• Coordinate with authorities to obtain technical approvals, permits, and NOCs.
• Track project KPIs related to schedule, quality, and technical delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary design projects in the construction sector.
• Strong understanding of design processes, construction methodology, and regulatory approvals.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage risks and ensure timely delivery of design deliverables.
