Project Manager – Oil & Gas Projects

About the role

Wood is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its Doha office and lead oil and gas projects across study, FEED, EPC and PMC scopes. The role involves delivering projects safely, on time and within budget while upholding Wood’s HSSE and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute project execution plans, schedules and budgets in line with contract requirements.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinating engineering, procurement and construction activities.
• Maintain safety, quality and environmental standards, acting as a champion for HSSE culture.
• Interface with client representatives to ensure client interests are addressed.
• Monitor project performance, manage change orders, risks and commercial issues, and report progress to senior management.

Required profile

• Undergraduate engineering degree with 15‑20 years of relevant oil & gas experience.
• Professional project management certification (PMP, APM or equivalent) preferred.
• Proven experience managing lump‑sum contracts and delivering projects from concept through start‑up.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to interpret contracts and raise potential delays.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, capable of motivating multi‑discipline teams.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office suite for documentation, presentations and scheduling.
• Project Management methodologies and tools (PMP, APM).
• Risk and change management across full project lifecycle.
• Engineering knowledge in onshore and offshore oil & gas.
• Relevant safety certifications (BOSIET, H2S Awareness) or willingness to obtain them.
