Public Relations Officer – Qatar

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Public Relations Officer (PRO) in Qatar to manage public complaints and inquiries related to its projects. The role serves as the primary interface between the project team and the community, ensuring transparent communication and fostering trust.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, log and track public complaints and inquiries.
• Coordinate with internal project teams to investigate issues and gather information.
• Prepare and deliver professional responses to complainants in a timely manner.
• Ensure all actions comply with project policies, client requirements and local regulations.
• Maintain an organized database of complaints, inquiries and resolutions for reporting and audit purposes.
• Produce periodic reports on complaint trends, response times and resolution effectiveness.
• Support public engagement activities and community meetings as needed.
• Liaise with client representatives and relevant authorities on complaint-related matters.
• Identify recurring issues and provide feedback for process improvements.
• Perform other duties and manage priorities with minimal guidance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Relations, Communications or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in public relations, customer service, community relations or a similar role.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in Arabic and English.
• Deep understanding of local culture, norms and stakeholder expectations in Qatar.
• Ability to handle sensitive issues with tact, diplomacy and professionalism.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple cases.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
