Purchasing Officer

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Purchasing Officer to join our St. Regis hotel team in Doha. The role focuses on managing food inventories, processing orders, and ensuring accurate record‑keeping while supporting the overall procurement function.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate figures for food inventories, orders and costs, and maintain organized records of reports and invoices.
• Post invoices using computer programs, reconcile shipping invoices with receiving reports, and verify count accuracy.
• Conduct inventory audits, monitor PAR levels, complete requisition forms and notify supervisors of low stock.
• Receive, unload and process deliveries, refuse damaged or incorrect items, and oversee vendor return processes.
• Adhere to food safety policies, report accidents, and complete required safety training.
• Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality of proprietary information, and clear communication with colleagues.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least one year of related experience in purchasing, inventory or food service environments.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.
