PYP ICT Teacher – Primary Years Programme

About the role

Etqan Global Academy is seeking a dynamic PYP ICT Teacher to join its Doha campus. The successful candidate will deliver inquiry‑based computing and ICT lessons within the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, fostering confident, creative digital learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging ICT lessons aligned with the IB PYP framework and the Programme of Inquiry.
• Collaborate with homeroom and specialist teachers to integrate technology across transdisciplinary units.
• Develop students’ abilities in coding, computational thinking, digital design, robotics and emerging technologies.
• Create authentic project‑based learning experiences that encourage investigation, creation, testing and evaluation.
• Promote digital citizenship, online safety, data privacy, academic integrity and responsible AI use.
• Organise enrichment activities, clubs and extracurricular events to raise the profile of ICT.
• Contribute to curriculum development, assessment moderation and school-wide initiatives.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE/PGDE or equivalent) and a Bachelor’s degree in ICT or a related field.
• Previous experience teaching within the IB PYP or MYP environment.
• Strong classroom practice with creative, well‑structured lessons.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Fluent English and eligibility to work in Qatar.
• Commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
