QA/QC Manager – Oil & Gas (EPC)

About the role

Lead quality across Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) for major oil & gas projects in Qatar. Ensure all project stages meet client requirements, contract terms and international quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full QA/QC function, set quality plans, track performance and report risks.
• Review engineering documents, vendor work, site construction and commissioning against standards.
• Plan and lead audits for project teams, contractors and vendors, and ensure timely closure of findings.
• Maintain the project Risk Register, track quality risks and their impact on delivery.
• Oversee Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), assign QC inspectors and manage inspection requests.
• Control procurement quality, coordinate vendor inspections and resolve fabrication issues.
• Lead review and closure of NCRs, deviations, concessions and corrective actions.
• Manage mechanical completion punch lists and ensure proper equipment storage.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• Professional quality certification (CQE, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or equivalent).
• 15+ years experience in oil & gas or petrochemical EPCC projects, with at least 5 years in a QA/QC leadership role.
• Current residence in Qatar with a valid QID.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Experience with ITPs, audits, NCRs, deviations and corrective actions.
• Strong background in project risk management and risk registers.
• Understanding of Integrated Management Systems (Quality, HSE, Environment, Energy, Responsible Care).
• Hands‑on experience in inspection planning, vendor surveillance and fabrication quality control.
