Quality Engineer – Construction

About the role

Parsons is looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join its Qatar construction team. You will ensure that all construction activities meet project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements while fostering a quality‑driven culture across the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor on‑site construction work against approved QA/QC plans and procedures.
• Perform inspections, tests, and audits of materials, workmanship, and processes to verify compliance.
• Review method statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), material submittals, and drawings for quality adherence.
• Prepare inspection reports, quality logs, and non‑conformance reports (NCRs).
• Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to communicate and enforce quality standards.
• Support the development and implementation of a project‑specific Quality Management System aligned with ISO 9001 and other international standards.
• Participate in internal and external audits and follow up on corrective actions.
• Deliver training and awareness sessions on quality topics to project staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of QA/QC experience, with at least 7 years in construction or infrastructure consulting.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, testing procedures, and standards such as ASTM, BS, and ISO.
• Proven ability to analyse issues, resolve non‑conformances, and maintain detailed documentation.
