Quantity Surveyor – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Quantity Surveyor to join our team. In this role you will perform standard estimating activities typical to the engineering and construction industry, focusing on large infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately measure and price work using contract drawings, specifications and Bills of Quantities.
• Handle post‑contract QS functions including interim and final payments, variations, commercial correspondence, cash‑flow monitoring and claims.
• Audit contractor payments, prepare valuations, and ensure completeness of submittals.
• Prepare and negotiate variations, day‑works, and claim settlements.
• Monitor contracts to maintain final cost estimates and maintain expenditure records.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• Minimum 8 years of experience on large infrastructure projects, especially roads.
• Consultancy experience preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Pre and post contract administration.
• Construction estimating using drawings, specifications and Bills of Quantities.
• Quantity surveying for road and infrastructure projects.
