Repair & Maintenance Technician III – Intervention Services Drilling Tools

About the role

The Repair & Maintenance Technician III is responsible for the hands‑on inspection, repair and refurbishment of drilling tools used in field operations. Working with Weatherford’s facilities and equipment, the technician ensures tools are ready for the next assignment by following technical manuals and work instructions.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in daily safety meetings, toolbox talks and complete Job Hazard Analyses.
• Receive, dismantle, clean, pressure‑test, paint, re‑assemble and store drilling tools.
• Perform repairs using hand tools, precision measuring instruments, electrical testing devices and lifting equipment.
• Inspect parts for dimensional changes using calipers, micrometres and other gauges.
• Document all work in AIRTs, PFTs, checklists and work orders, accurately logging labour time.
• Operate forklifts, cranes and pallet trucks to move crates and containers safely.
• Accept incoming shipments, verify quantities and prepare outbound shipments in compliance with company procedures.
• Order parts and supplies from approved vendors following Weatherford guidelines.
• Support Lean initiatives and continuous improvement programs.

Required profile

• 4‑6+ years of repair and maintenance experience in the oil & gas industry.
• Hands‑on experience with impact tools such as jars, shock subs, intensifiers, fishing tools and downhole tools.
• Experience working with hazardous materials and in compliance with safety standards.
• Certification to operate lifting equipment, including forklifts and cranes.
• Ability to follow technical manuals, procedures and work instructions.
