Research Specialist Level 4 – Epidemiology

About the role

Working with little supervision from the Principal Investigator, the Research Specialist Level 4 will support the design, data collection, statistical analysis and dissemination of a variety of epidemiologic studies at Weill Cornell Medicine‑Qatar.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in epidemiologic study design, develop study instruments and protocols.
• Perform sample‑size calculations, power analyses and systematic literature reviews including meta‑analyses.
• Conduct statistical analyses using software such as SPSS, Stata, SAS, S‑PLUS or R and develop new analytical methods.
• Manage and document data, maintain detailed logs and prepare summary reports.
• Draft research plans for grant applications and contribute to manuscripts and conference presentations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with five + years experience, or an MSc/MPH in epidemiology/biostatistics.
• Proven record of scientific research and publications in peer‑reviewed journals (preferred).
• Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English and ability to communicate scientific findings.
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently.
