Reservations Agent

About the role

The Reservations Agent is responsible for handling all reservation inquiries, changes, and cancellations for the hotel in Doha. This role ensures guests receive accurate information on room availability, rates, and policies while delivering a professional and courteous experience.

Key responsibilities

• Process reservation requests, modifications, and cancellations received via phone, fax, or mail.
• Identify guest needs, verify room type availability, and provide rate information.
• Explain guarantee, special rates, and cancellation policies to callers.
• Document special requests and accommodate them in the reservation system.
• Input correct codes and rates for complimentary rooms, employee discounts, travel agent rates, and wholesale reservations.
• Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue and adhere to company policies.
• Escalate guest concerns following proper procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of guest and company information and uphold professional appearance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• No supervisory experience or specific licenses needed.
• Ability to lift, move, and carry objects up to 10 pounds.
• Strong communication skills and professional telephone etiquette.
