Rigging & Lifting Supervisor – India Recruitment Event

About the role

The Rigging & Lifting Supervisor will lead rigging and lifting operations for QatarEnergy LNG facilities, both onshore and offshore. The role supports safe, high‑quality execution of all lifting activities while meeting reliability and schedule targets.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise rigging and lifting activities to optimise resource utilisation and ensure safety and QA/QC compliance.
• Ensure all work follows company lifting codes, standards and specifications.
• Maintain valid certification for all rigging tools and equipment and store them per company standards.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and corrective repairs with the garage team.
• Source additional manpower and equipment for emergency tasks and monitor contractor performance.
• Review and approve non‑routine lifting plans for company and external contractor activities.
• Track progress against the bi‑weekly schedule and conduct effective toolbox talks and Job Safety Analyses.
• Support incident investigations, recommend corrective actions and verify implementation.
• Maintain EOT cranes and plant elevators in ready condition for maintenance work.

Required profile

• Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering.
• Approved third‑party agency certification as a Rigging Supervisor.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the oil & gas or petrochemical maintenance sector.
• Strong knowledge of lifting procedures, codes and industry standards.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Rigging and lifting procedures and code compliance.
• Use of MS Office applications.
• Experience with SAP for maintenance planning.
• Conducting toolbox talks and hazard identification.
