Rolling Stock Overhaul Technician

About the role

We are looking for experienced Rolling Stock Overhaul Technicians to carry out overhaul, repair, inspection and maintenance of key railway components. You will work on bogies, couplers, gangways, doors, HVAC systems, wheelsets and related equipment, ensuring safety, efficiency and compliance with all standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform overhaul and repair of rolling stock components such as bogies, couplers, doors and HVAC systems.
• Conduct inspections and routine maintenance in line with approved procedures and railway standards.
• Support the daily production plan while maintaining high quality and reliability.
• Document maintenance actions and produce technical reports.
• Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) requirements and safe work practices.

Required profile

• Diploma, ITI, Trade Certificate or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Railway Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in rolling stock or railway maintenance, overhaul or a similar mechanical/electrical industrial environment.
• Proven ability to read engineering drawings, technical manuals and maintenance instructions.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments and workshop equipment.
• Good understanding of HSE regulations, PPE, manual handling and COSHH.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with maintenance documentation.
