SCADA Maintenance Engineer – AVEVA System Platform

About the role

Join Avanceon's O&M team supporting the Ashghal Road Tunnel Program as a Maintenance Engineer focused on SCADA systems. You will ensure the reliability, safety, and performance of distributed AVEVA System Platform installations across multiple tunnel sites in Qatar.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on SCADA nodes and control rooms.
• Troubleshoot software, communication, alarm, and performance issues.
• Execute system patching, backups, redundancy checks, and fail‑over testing.
• Monitor historian data, alarms, integrations and overall SCADA health.
• Maintain logs, RCA reports, maintenance documentation and change records.
• Collaborate with OEMs, consultants and internal teams for improvements and escalations.
• Support cybersecurity activities, asset lifecycle management and system upgrades.

Required profile

• 5–6 years of hands‑on SCADA maintenance experience (infrastructure/utilities experience a plus).
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation or Mechatronics Engineering.
• AVeVA System Platform certification highly preferred; networking or cybersecurity certifications are an advantage.
• Qatar driving licence is a plus.
