School HR Manager

About the role

The School HR Manager will lead all people‑management functions at Compass International School Doha, partnering with the Principal and senior leadership to deliver a high‑quality HR service that supports the school’s strategic and operational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full‑cycle recruitment for all teaching and support roles, collaborating closely with school leadership.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations, providing advice, coaching and mediation.
• Oversee day‑to‑day HR operations including payroll inputs, contract renewals, attendance tracking and personnel file maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar Labour Law, MOEHE regulations and Nord Anglia HR policies.
• Manage employee visa renewals, residency processes and exit procedures.
• Coordinate the annual appraisal and performance review process, supporting managers with goal setting and development planning.
• Partner with the Principal on workforce planning, compensation and people priorities.
• Champion diversity, inclusion and wellbeing across the school community.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field (CIPD desirable).
• 5–7 years of HR generalist or managerial experience, preferably in a school or service‑led environment.
• Strong knowledge of Qatar Labour Law, employment legislation and immigration processes.
• Proven ability to manage high‑volume recruitment and onboarding.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with influence at senior level.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
