School HR Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR professional to lead all people‑management functions at Compass International School Doha. Reporting to the Principal, you will ensure that HR services align with the school’s strategic and operational goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full‑cycle recruitment for all teaching and support positions, partnering with school leadership.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations, providing advice, coaching and mediation.
• Oversee day‑to‑day HR operations including payroll inputs, contract renewals, attendance tracking and personnel file maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar Labour Law, MOEHE regulations and Nord Anglia HR policies.
• Manage employee visa renewals, residency processes and exit procedures.
• Coordinate the annual appraisal and performance review process, supporting managers with goal setting and development planning.
• Partner with the Principal on workforce planning, compensation and people priorities.
• Champion diversity, inclusion and wellbeing across the school community.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field (CIPD desirable).
• 5–7 years of HR generalist or managerial experience, preferably in a school or service‑led environment.
• Strong knowledge of Qatar Labour Law, employment legislation and immigration processes.
• Proven ability to manage high‑volume recruitment and onboarding.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with influence at senior level.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
