School Nurse – International School in Doha

About the role

Nord Anglia Education seeks a compassionate School Nurse to join Etqan Global Academy (EGA) in Doha. The role involves safeguarding student health, delivering first‑aid care, and supporting a healthy school environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the daily operation of the school medical room, ensuring safety, cleanliness and adequate supplies.
• Provide prompt first‑aid and nursing care to students and staff who are injured or become ill during school hours.
• Assess, monitor and respond to student health needs, referring to external providers or emergency services when required.
• Administer prescribed medication in line with individual healthcare plans, school policy and Qatar regulations.
• Maintain accurate, confidential medical records and individual healthcare plans, including allergy and chronic‑condition management.
• Participate in the school safeguarding team, identifying and reporting welfare concerns.
• Develop and deliver health education and wellbeing initiatives for all student phases.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse qualification (RN) with current registration with the NMC or equivalent body.
• Paediatric nursing qualification or significant paediatric nursing experience.
• Current Paediatric First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) / AED certifications.
• Minimum two years post‑registration nursing experience, preferably in a paediatric or school setting.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child‑protection requirements in an international context.
• Excellent English communication skills; Arabic language skills are desirable.
