School Nurse (International School)

About the role

Nord Anglia Education is seeking a compassionate School Nurse to join Etqan Global Academy in Doha. The nurse will be responsible for the health, wellbeing and medical care of students and staff, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment within the IB Primary Years and Middle Years programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the daily operation of the school medical room, keeping it safe, well‑stocked and fit for purpose.
• Provide prompt first‑aid and nursing care to students and staff who are injured or unwell.
• Assess, monitor and respond to student health needs, referring to external providers or emergency services when required.
• Administer prescribed medication in line with individual healthcare plans, school policy and Qatar regulations.
• Maintain accurate, confidential medical records and individual healthcare plans, including allergy and chronic condition management.
• Participate in the school safeguarding team, supporting identification and reporting of welfare concerns.
• Develop and deliver health education and wellbeing initiatives for all phases.
• Communicate professionally with parents, staff and external medical providers regarding student health matters.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse qualification (RN) with current registration with the NMC or equivalent.
• Paediatric nursing qualification or significant paediatric nursing experience.
• Current Paediatric First Aid and Basic Life Support/AED certifications.
• Minimum two years post‑registration nursing experience, preferably in a paediatric or school setting.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection in an international context.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English; Arabic desirable.
• Experience in Qatar or the Middle East and knowledge of Qatar Ministry of Health regulations is a plus.
