Secondary Mathematics Teacher (Maternity Cover)

About the role

Nord Anglia International School Al Khor is looking for a secondary Mathematics teacher to cover maternity leave, joining a well-established, supportive team in a growing school. The start date is Sunday, 17 January 2027; applications close on 19 November 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a fit-for-purpose curriculum based on the UK National Curriculum, preparing students for IGSCE/AS-A level external examinations.
• Teach Mathematics while supporting English language and numeracy development across the curriculum.
• Plan pathways for all learners, setting individualised targets and adapting to different prior achievement.
• Share best practice and strategies with colleagues and contribute to departmental development.

Required profile

• University degree in Mathematics.
• Teaching qualification from a face-to-face (non-online) course, meeting Qatar's visa requirements.
• Considerable teaching experience and knowledge of the curriculum.
• Ability to engage students and parents and act as an ambassador for the school.
