Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to lead day‑to‑day financial operations and support the overall financial health of the organization. Working closely with the Head of Finance, you will drive financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting and reporting, providing strategic insight that fuels informed decision‑making and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Own the General Ledger and Chart of Accounts, review and approve journal entries, and ensure proper classification.
• Maintain and review monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations and sub‑ledger controls for AP, AR, fixed assets and deferred revenues.
• Supervise the accounting team in AP/AR processing, ensuring timely recording, accurate invoicing and proper allocation.
• Manage month‑end close, including accruals, deferrals, trial‑balance review, and preparation of closing checklists.
• Prepare and present financial statements, cash‑flow statements and variance analyses for senior management.
• Coordinate budgeting and forecasting cycles, monitor performance, and recommend cost‑control measures.
• Develop cash‑flow forecasting models and optimise working‑capital management.
• Support internal and external audits, maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with IFRS.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in accounting, financial reporting and month‑end close.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent organizational skills and the capacity to lead a small accounting team.
• Detail‑oriented, with a solid understanding of regulatory compliance and internal controls.
