Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant oversees daily accounting operations, ensures accurate financial reporting and compliance with applicable accounting standards, and supports management in financial planning and decision-making. The role also involves leading and developing the accounting team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
• Ensure all financial transactions are recorded correctly in line with accounting standards and company policies.
• Monitor cash flow, operating expenses, budgets and overall financial performance.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing, including accurate reconciliations.
• Review and approve invoices, payment vouchers, journal entries and other financial documents.
• Process supplier payments and monitor customer collections.
• Coordinate with internal departments on financial documentation and approvals.
• Lead the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts and variance analysis.
• Liaise with external auditors and prepare audit documentation.
• Improve financial processes, internal controls and reporting.
• Supervise and develop the accounting team.
• Provide financial analysis, reports and recommendations to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA or CMA is an advantage.
• At least 7 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, preferably with supervisory or managerial responsibilities.
• Strong team management, coordination and supervisory skills.
