Senior Commercial Executive – Advertising & Sponsorship

About the role

Al Jazeera Media Network is seeking a Senior Executive for its Commercial department in Doha. The role will drive advertising and sponsorship revenue across the network’s TV channels, digital platforms and flagship programmes, acting as the primary liaison between brands, agencies and the broadcaster.

Key responsibilities

• Own revenue targets and grow advertising and sponsorship income across all media assets.
• Build and maintain senior relationships with media agencies, trading desks and direct clients.
• Design integrated sponsorship packages that span broadcast, digital, social and branded‑content extensions.
• Prepare insight‑driven proposals, pricing models and rate‑card recommendations using audience data and CPM benchmarks.
• Manage end‑to‑end campaign delivery, including deal documentation, asset hand‑over, performance reporting and post‑campaign analysis.
• Collaborate with marketing, distribution and editorial teams to ensure commercial deals align with brand guidelines.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and agency movements to inform commercial strategy.
• Maintain accurate pipeline records and provide regular revenue forecasts.

Required profile

• 6–10 years of experience in media sales, sponsorship or commercial partnerships, preferably at a broadcaster, publisher or major digital platform.
• Background in media agency planning, buying or partnership management, with a proven record of senior‑level negotiations.
• Demonstrated success in structuring and closing broadcast, digital or event‑based sponsorship deals.
• Strong understanding of how agencies plan and purchase media and how premium owners price and deliver packages.
